One on One In-Home Lessons
With our five in-home and public distraction one-on-one training lessons, your dog will learn the basic obedience commands such as come, sit, down, place and heel. In addition, he/she will also learn to be in a calm state of mind and focus on you despite the distractions the world is filled with. This is necessary so that you can be confident in your dog’s ability to handle whatever distractions he/she encounters as you move through the world.
Our real life training will help you develop the appropriate leader skills you need to guide your dog through all life situations you might encounter.
Please keep in mind that the success of our one-on-one lessons depends on doing your “homework.”
We spend an hour per lesson with you and your dog. In this time we create the foundation for learning, listening and behaving for you to follow through consistently on a daily basis to get the results you want. We will teach you to strengthen your leadership skills so that your dog learns to be a great behaving family member with outstanding manners. You and your dog will also learn the basics of off leash training, as this is the essential baseline for a well mannered and amazingly behaved dog you can enjoy in all real life situations, at home or in public.
Keep in mind that this is just a start. Our five in-home and public distraction one-on-one lessons teach you the foundation of what we are going to want you to do. You will learn how to motivate your dog so that they want to learn, both how to do something you want and to stop something you do not want.
We will teach you to engage in basic behavior modification situations, however, the lessons are not geared for heavy behavior modification or intense fear/nervousness. Our lessons are also not geared for reactivity/aggression, for example towards dogs and/or humans. Therefore, please look into our Board and Train programs if your needs go beyond basic training.
You will get 5 lessons that will run for 60 to 90 minutes each session, depending on the learning curve of your dog.
